Monday 27 January 2014

Save the Children and partners organized a music concert to mobilize and encourage the youth and local communities to support early childhood programs. The concert 'Do,Re,Mi...Do,KG' was part of our national campaign to support kindergartens (KGs) in Jordan and  held on January 17, 2014.

The young audience cheered the local artists and bands who filled the concert with their live music.

The National Campaign to Support Kindergartens (KGs) is a coalition of a number of partners from public and private sectors and international and national non-governmental organizations. The campaign started from the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Regional Working Groups Initiative which was launched one year ago by the Ministry of Education (MoE) with USAID support. The ECD Regional Working Groups aimed to coordinate efforts and fundraise for the ECD in Jordan and is one of the most important development priorities for the Kingdom.

A number of activities will be carried out as part of the campaign to increase parents’ awareness of the importance of kindergartensin their children's development and also to increase youth participation in supporting children and kindergartens as part of their social responsibility.

Do,Re,Mi...Do,KG concert was organized through a number of non-governmental organizations, youth networks, private and public sectors.
