Save the Children carries out youth-led initiative giving end-of year gifts to children at King Hussain Cancer Center
Syrian and Jordanian youth participating in Save the Children's programmes in Amman carried out their first initiative by giving end-of-year gifts to children being treated at King Hussain Cancer Center. The idea was initiated by the children at Mahatta Center where Save the Children offers programmes such as informal education, early childhood education, and psychosocial support activities all supported by the UK government's Department for International Development (DfID).
Save the Children coordinated with King Hussain Cancer Center, where a visit was facilitated and 60 child patients received gifts on December 31,2014. The youth-led initiatives is part of a bigger plan where the youth will be leading other future initiatives throughout the year to benefit their community.
